Second Sundays - Volunteers Day

  Hello Amig@x Are you growing veggies, herbs, and flowers in the upcoming Fall? September is a good time to prepare your tools and garden beds. Build or tuned your compost area. Budget for organic seeds, soil, mulch, fertilizers. See what you could be sowing and planting.  It is a good time to research on how to prepare and feed your soil? What could be grown and when to plan it?  Plan being out! The amazing time of playing outside with your garden helps to have some work done and release tensions. D vitamin is absorbed for your body. This could be a quality moment with family, or even by yourself. A garden is a space for wonder, it will become. You are invited to our garden! Amigos de la Huerta will be hosting family volunteer days on the second Sundays of the month to come together to learn from the garden delights and it's lessons. Carnaval De Verano En La Finca Urbana

¡Gracias por apoyar nuestro evento de llevar alegría y diversión a los niños con un Carnaval de Verano en La Finca. Este evento fue organizado por Amigos de la Huerta en colaboración con Summer Carnaval Team, un grupo de instructores que facilitaron esta iniciativa. Nuestro objetivo era recaudar $5000 para cubrir gastos necesarios para que 15 niños pudieran asistir gratuitamente a este evento. Aunque $230 fue lo recogido, l os niños tuvieron la oportunidad expresar su creatividad con dibujos, cantos, bailes, y tocando algunos instrumentos musicales. Los participantes d isfrutamos mucho de estas actividades llenas de imaginación, aprendizaje y diversión.  Gracias Lina, Diana, Daniela, Vanito, Arrate, John, Raul, Alexandra y a todos los que de una forma u otra apoyaron este evento.
